Assassin's Creed 2 teaser trailer released. Concrete details on the game to be released 4/16/08

The official Assassin's Creed web site gives us a brief taste of the second entry in the series and clues us in on when we can expect concrete details on Assassin's Creed 2—next Thursday. The teaser consists of little more than a short Flash animation, rendered in a hand drawn style noticeably similar to that of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions—focusing on the concealed blade Altair used in the original—and his Vitruvian Man. The final drawing hints at some sort of winged contraption that may indicate we'll be doing some flying (or at least some floating/humming of the Batman theme song) in the sequel.

Fear 2 to get DLC that simulates players as toy soldiers. Pack includes three new maps.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will get the first of three downloadable add-ons on April 16. Dubbed the "Toy Soldiers" map pack, this first download will be completely free for everyone on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. The name isn't just a bunch of words either. These maps offer the opportunity to play as tiny soldiers running around a hospital lab room, a sandbox, and inside a pinball machine.

IGN REVIEW: Unreal Tournament 3's Titan Pack DLC. Players can make themselves huge. Huge success or flop?

By now, you've put Akasha six feet under, mastered Warfare along with the other multiplayer modes and have pelvic thrusted your way across every map from Arsenal to Torlan. Aside from random mods that you track down off the web, you're probably looking for a challenge or some kind of additional play to make you pick up your impact hammer and flak cannon for a multi-kill or two.

Godfather II to get DLC add on packs 2 weeks after release on April 7. Packs range in price from $4 to $6.75. But $10 gets you them all.

EA has announced that The Godfather II, coming out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 7, will receive premium upgrade download packs two weeks after launch. The four packs, which range in price from $4.00 to $10.00, will add new maps, weapons, and characters.

IGN releases their pick of top PS3 games for this spring. Godfather 2 tops the list.

Even though we've only enjoyed a few months of 2009, the PlayStation 3 already looks to have a bountiful lineup of big games. Ranging from zombie-filled downloadables to action-packed shooters, there should be a little something for everyone this spring. Perhaps one of the most exciting games fast approaching is Sucker Punch's Infamous, which will place players in control of Cole, a lightning-charged runner surviving in a city gone to hell.
